The character we will discuss in this video looks like a swimming unicorn, but it isn’t. So if you want to know what the interesting horn-like body part sticking out of Boris’ face is, watch until the end of the video.

Boris has been one of Captain Barnacles’ closest and friends since he was a cub. You may even recall the song the two characters sang together entitled “The Narwal.” Moving on, this character has helped Octonauts in the show. Is this how real narwhals behave too?

Before we answer the question, let’s talk briefly about the animal’s physical appearance. Boris has a long tusk, light green skin, and some freckles all over his body.

In real life, narwhals change color as they age. But generally speaking, they have bluish-grey skin. And the horn-like structure sticking out of its head is actually an overgrown tooth that can amazingly grow up to 10 feet long.

Now to answer the question of how narwhals behave, no one has really observed their behavior in the depths of the waters. However, they have been seen sword-fighting using their long tusks; and maybe that’s all we need to see.
