BOOR is a 2D puzzle platformer where you play as some person who is able to create a shadow copy of themselves to control and move about the level for a short time. You only have a few seconds at a time to move the shadow clone around indicated by a shrinking circle around it. You have a floaty jump for easier platforming as the focus is on the puzzling. There are switches, teleporters, moveable blocks, and such to get through levels. Every so often you will fight a boss. The story takes place in a world where robots have taken over. You learn bits as you go through the game.

Interact with things by pressing down. You will die in one hit from obstacles, and if you do die from something you will restart that screen. You also have a reset button to restart a screen without needing to kill yourself if you get stuck. There are some hidden cog wheels throughout the game which you can collect to unlock an achievement, but that's all they do.

What I like:
+ Fun mechanics with a mix of interesting and challenging puzzles.
+ Story bits appear after every batch of levels or so.
+ Cool art direction using a small variety of colors.
+ Controller rumble support.
+ Each boss is unique.
+ Cool ambient music.

What I don't like:
- Story scenes are lacking in sound effects? Not sure why. One opening scene is voiced, but none of the others.
- The first boss is very easy, but the others were frustrating because they have longer patterns in-between hits and you die in one hit. This can turn an average length boss fight into a very long boss fight because you pass one pattern, get hit on the next one and have to repeat the all previous patterns again until you get to the end (Boss fights in games can/should be hard, but they just shouldn't have long patterns before you can hit them).
- The story lacks conclusion with a cliffhanger of what happens next? When there only needed to be a little more to wrap things up.
- It would be nice to be able to scroll the screen with the right stick or something to see the whole area so the player can think about the puzzle rather than blindly failing at it until they can see the whole thing.

Conclusion:
The game is about 2 - 3 hours long. The only extra stuff to do is find the cog wheels which does nothing in the game. There is also a "speedrun mode" in the options menu which just adds a running timer at the top of the screen. I really like me some platformers, so I still enjoyed it. I just see a lot of oddities and issues I would choose to correct myself.
