Come join Warren and Cam talk about EVERYTHING we know and can dig up about Borderlands 3. This is our first live thing besides the unboxing on the Nintendo Switch so hope you guys enjoy this talk about EVERYTHING we know about Borderlands 3.
Game was originally announced in 2015 at E3 but with no title. The game has also officially been announced to not appear on the Nintendo Switch since Nintendo says they have other plans.
Jumping to now we have a lot of information regarding the game.
Lets jump into it starting with interplanetary travel. This theory can be more or less confirmed with a couple things.
1. The end of borderlands 2 showed a map of some planets with vaults on them. This could mean that we can travel between planets in the next game.
2. Also during the tech demo Randy Pitchford said “If we for example were to explore different planets” he said this while talking about the scenery changing in real time he also says the sun and moon will change position in real time and on these other planets to give it a different feel from Pandora. He really is hinting at interplanetary travel here.
Most of the other information however comes from some Easter eggs inside of BattleBorn
The first bit of information isn’t much but it still gives off a hint to the location of the game. Behind a gate on one of the walls there is some graffiti. If you zoom in on the graffiti it says PROMETHEA with the A as the vault hunter logo or symbol or whatever.
The other Easter egg is really cool. Portals in Battle Born sent off signals after people deciphered the signals they found that they said “ Visit Prometea” (yes the h is missing on purpose) “children of the vault. We are not on Pandora anymore Tannis is not who she seems do not open the vaults” this is crazy! Does this mean that Tannis has been evil all along and convinced people to open the vaults to get her own power. It would be very interesting to see her as a villain in the upcoming Borderlands game
“Scooper” son of Scooter is rumored to be a character in the game
Confirmed not to be on the Nintendo Switch because of Nintendo saying they have ‘other priorities”
Game will be using a version of unreal engine 4. This custom engine will make the game clip free which is very hard to accomplish.
This theory could be countered by one of the propaganda messages by Hyperion saying that they know the living conditions on Pandora suck and they do not spend much of their budget on Pandora but atleast we dont live on Promethea. Then again they could just be saying that to keep us away from promethea since it is known that there was life there. Since that is where Atlas Got there technology to make guns
