181This video is a quick tutorial showing you how and where to use golden keys in Borderlands 3. I also briefly explain what golden keys are, how to get them, as well as what the "strategy" should be in using these.
What are golden keys, anyway? Golden keys allow you to open the golden chest in Sanctuary, your spaceship main base. Opening the golden chest grants the player with multiple weapons & items (example: grenade mods). I actually received a legendary grenade mode, Moxxi's Bouncing Pair in this example. I personally believe that the strategy for using these golden keys should be using them sparingly. That means - only use the golden keys when you really need them. For example: maybe you've been rushing through the main story and you're really behind in your weapons in terms of level. Go ahead and use a golden key! Early on in the game, I'd argue that using these isn't the best use. To summarize, I think the best way to use these is to wait as long as you can until you really have to. Some may say that waiting until the very end diminishes the power of golden keys and I agree. I believe that the value of these keys go up as the game progresses and plateaus once you hit the end game. Any thoughts on this opinion?
