Borderlands - Making battles easier at the first arena
0This is quite easy to do and gives you the whole area for you to work on. While it may not be necessary on the first playthrough, you might find this very advantageous on the New Game+ mode.
So what you do is simple. Run far enough into the arena so that the gate starts closing (remember to be facing out of the arena) and dash out of there. When timed correctly, the gate will bump your noggin and bounce right back up. Now you can deal with the Skags by either running somewhere safe and sniping them or maybe (theoretically) lure them to your vehicle you parked outside of the place and run them over. Alternatively you could just shoot at them till they get too close at which point you can scuttle on into the spot where the guy who gives you the arena missions if you need cover. The Skags don't understand to follow you in there unless you pretty much lure them in.
I tried this at the other arena at wherever it was, I forget. Anyways, this isn't replicable at that location as you have to run further into the arena before the gate closes and when you exit the arena, all thugs, raiders, bruisers, etc. return back to their holding cells or whatever.
I had to drop my graphics quality to the lowest settings in order to record without any major jittering so that's why everything looks like blurry shit. Oddly enough it doesn't do that anymore.
