Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Part 6: Power Overwhelming
So, after finally beating Deadlift by literally just walking up to him with a shotgun and mowing him down, he drops a really interesting weapon that is new to the Borderlands Series. In this game, they are introducing some new weapon types as well as a new element to use (which, so far, seems super overpowered but, as of writing this, I have only seen it used against me). The new weapons are essentially laser weapons (either a laser beam of in concentrated bullets) and they seem rather fun, although the Beam weapon seems to eat through ammo really fast. The Beam weapon seems to work really well with Nisha’s ability as well so I think I might try and invest in a lot of these weapons. As for the element, they are adding a Cryo (an Ice Damage Type) that will slowly freeze the opponent and, if you do enough damage, will actually end up shattering the enemy. As I mentioned, I have not yet played with this new damage type as of yet but, I have the displeasure of seeing it in action against me and I can say, they hurt a lot (makes me really excited to use them against my enemies though). After murdering Deadlift, we head back to Janey after unlocking the Cars in the game and, for some reason, they feel a little different. When I recorded Borderlands 2, I had used Mouse and Keyboard (something I’m thinking about going back to) but now for this Recording session, I was using a control and the driving felt weird. It could be the fact that we are on the moon and the gravity is a little different but it definitely feels off. Maybe I just have to get use to the driving once more.
