The flying raijin is one of the most broken jutsu in naruto, but did you know there are major differences between the version boruto uses and Minato uses? Well, in boruto two blue vortex, we learn that Boruto, due to being a rogue ninja and having no one to teach him the jutsu, made an imitation of the jutsu to get around being unable to use his karma seal to teleport like Otsutsuki vessels can do, but Boruto’s flying raijin is inferior in a lot of ways to Minato’s. For instance, Minato can mark anything in only a matter of seconds, including entire humans, yet Boruto struggles in that he needs to concentrate when making seals and the larger the object, the more time he needs to place the seal which can take up to a minute. Boruto also can’t accurately teleport if he has too many similar markers in the same area and will end up teleporting to unintentional markers, whereas Minato can spread 80 kunai across the battlefield to fight a 1,000 ninjas with no issues. However, Boruto gets around this via all the metal flying raijin markers of different shapes on his clothing. Unlike Minato, Boruto can teleport to Otsutsuki dimensions.
