There are Malice particles floating around because I was avoiding a panic blood moon. It's pretty easy, really. You just have to make sure the game cannot save Link's position. You can avoid an impending panic moon by jumping, climbing, swimming, standing on cryonis blocks or other movable objects, and riding a horse or the Master Cycle. Standing around for three seconds will allow the panic moon to come. If you touch the ground long enough to get the blood moon effects to start happening, and then you can talk to someone or hit a trigger for something to happen, which allows for cutscenes like this one.

Breath of the Wild belongs to Nintendo. Thanks to leotlino for reverse engineering explanation of blood moons and the reason behind panic moons.
