First I placed the travel medallion in Hyrule Field, inside the area where I knew the Ganon battle would take place.

Then I went and fought and defeated Calamity Ganon. After alighting in Hyrule Field and grabbing the Bow of Light that Zelda left for me, I escaped the barrier around the Dark Beast Ganon battle. You can do so easily by a few different methods, such as the one in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22GOwgKbJWs

Then I enabled warping (since you cannot save during the Dark Beast Ganon battle). You can do this by playing through the Test of Wood in the Korok Forest, or by trying to open one of the chests of the gambling game in Lurelin Village.

After that I was able to warp back to my travel medallion and pick up the Bow of Light until all my slots were filled with it. This is just an alternate way of duplicating the Bow of Light, as you can also put it in a slot at Link's house in Hateno Village, warp away, return to the house and pick up the magically duped bow.

Breath of the Wild belongs to Nintendo, duh.
