I didn't even know Karin's book existed until I just recently saw a YouTube comment that mentioned it. She only reads the book when she comes inside on rainy days.

Was this a slight oversight on the programmers' part? I don't know, but I'm sure she isn't meant to carry her book around with her like that. Anyway, this is really fun because you can get a look at what the cover of her book looks like and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't ordinarily be able to do that in the game itself.

I discovered this quite by accident when I was taking pictures of her book and translating the hylian therein.

When it isn't raining, light a torch with the blue flame and leave it inside the mayor's house. Then just sit by the nearby campfire (there's one near the goddess statue) select noon each time or else Karin will be in bed, and keep doing that until you get rain. Sometimes Karin will be outside and run indoors to get away from the rain. When she's sitting down on the floor reading her book, just pick up the torch as I did here. When the rain stops and you can take your torch outside, Karin seems to have a tendency to run into the water.

Breath of the Wild belongs to Nintendo of course.
