Part 1 of my Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance let’s play - 'Bout Time!

In this episode, we are introduced to our protagonist Ike, who is sparring with his father, Greil. We learn that Greil is the leader of a mercenary company, which Ike wants to join. When Ike’s sister Mist creates a distraction, he dashes for Greil. The master swordsman, however avoids Ike’s swing and knocks him unconscious. Ike has a sudden flashback to his mother. When he wakes up, Ike spars with the mercenary Boyd. After beating him, Ike takes on and beats Greil. Prologue over. Ike, not a member of the mercenaries, sets on his first mission wich Boyd, his brother Oscar, and the vice commander of the company Titania. Their goal is to liberate the town of Caldea from bandits that have overtaken it. The town is full of houses to visit, which give you items. However, the bandits demonstrate that they can and will destroy houses if given the opportunity. After taking down the bandits, Ike seizes the main house in the building and the village is saved. Chapter 1 over.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems (a division of Nintendo) for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. It is the ninth entry in the Fire Emblem series, a beloved Tactical RPG series known for its engaging gameplay, interesting characters, and support conversations. Path of Radiance tells the story of Ike, a young Mercenary who lives in the Kingdom of Crimea. When the neighboring nation of Daein invades Crimea, Ike and his mercenary company are forced to evacuate Crimea. When they encounter the lost princess of Crimea, Elincia, their lives change forever. What ensues is a journey of reclaiming their homeland, and confronting a deadly evil. Common themes in the game are racism, the circumstances of one’s birth, and the consequences of war. Path of Radiance is one of the most sought after and expensive GameCube games, and so not many Fire Emblem fans have been able to experience it. So I want to share the game with the world!
