0I feel like thief might be a little too good for how early in the game you get it...
The end boss of chapter 2. The main challenge of this fight comes from her habit of counterattacking white and black magic, making party healing kind of unsafe. As long as everyone is equipped for dread immunity and the magic defense buff is maintained, Godspeed Strike just sort of carries this boss. NGL tho, petunia straight up carried me through this entire chapter. Banishra is just too good.
My impressions of the game haven't really changed since I started it. The battle system is a joy, and some of the more interesting class synergies are starting to show. How you feel about this game is almost entirely determined by how much joy you derive from goofing around with a menagerie of class skills and seeing what sticks to the wall. Difficulty wise, the game is about average, generally a bit on the easier side, but there's some rng screwiness that adds some challenge. It also feels a lot less grindy than some other JRPGs. I ended up having to do some targetted grinding to farm petunias for the Galahad fight, but otherwise fighting mobs climbing dungeons was enough to get me to 23 by the time I hit this boss.
Overall I'd say I'm having fun, but if graphics are a dealbreaker then...yeah... The story is...serviceable, but nothing revelatory.
