The game's very to completion by now, and I've been thinking of new ways to dispose of the opposition and destroy them even more harshly than before. The two things I've previously learnt but never incorporated in my strats are Ventriloquism and Mimic, and the former sees a lot of usage in this video.

At 45K HP, Braev doesn't survive much, but he does revive himself twice here. Noble Eagle gives both my folks and the enemies 200% offence, meaning everyone dies really quickly, including the mooks that stand by Braev's side. Making the foes hit twice as hard is surprisingly useful when they bounce off Yew's sole Soul Mirror shield for double the normal damage. I don't even need to Meteor Rain any of the mooks on the 2nd turn (Braev Defaults on the opening turn) because they take care of themselves.

As long as a 3rd caster uses Ventriloquism, I can unleash twice the usual amount of Meteor Meteor Rains during a single turn. You'd think this should be sufficient to kill Braev right there on the 2nd turn, but because a single MMR does just under 40K damage, a lot of the hits are kinda wasted. Who cares, Braev kills himself with his own blows.

Turtle Dove has 150K and is supposed to be dangerous? Love status something something. I don't get to find out what he does because Ventriloquism ensures he falls on the very first turn. Go figure.

Yoko is genuinely a tough battle, and I found myself struggling to defend against all of her attacks, so what I did was resort to the RNG. The RNG has always been a thing and was especially noticeable in the first half of the challenge before I started relying on MP Free in a Pinch strats non-stop. Let's say the 1st turn starts with a very unfavourable "random" outcome. You reset and try again, the same happening. You can change that outcome by entering a battle beforehand or, more conveniently, opening up some menus. I've been aware of this but it wasn't until this fight that I abused it to win most painlessly.

Yoko seems to be the healthiest boss so far with a little under 200K HP, and her offence is authentically threatening. However, by keeping up the same order of opening the menu, we know what she will do on her 1st turn... every single time. And since we intend to end the battle on that same 1st turn, there's only one thing we have to protect ourselves from (Elemental Barrier Blast) - Ventriloquism takes care of the rest.

I think it's quite curious who gets the finishing kill in this battle. Why aren't you playable in the game?

Templar and Yokai become ours, completing our asterisk collection. Not sure if I want to beat all the demons for the Yokai spells now, might as well I suppose?
