This "All Tasks" thing mang - I've experimented with this in various Windows'es, but this 64-bit Vista is interesting. The first part you see here I managed on a friend's PC once. It was fun reversing that, I did it to the desktop you see. Thus, avoid desktops with these.
Windows 8.1 also has a thing that can crash the explorer like this. Also, Windows 10 can do this as well seemingly with stuff that has a registry key that doesn't exist.
