Elden Ring is a fantastic game, but its biggest obstacle is in getting the player to understand the type of game it is, and how they can best get their desired gameplay experience.

The fact that the start of the game practically funnels players into fighting Margot within the first hour is a questionable decision - Sure, he's a good boss for new and returning players alike, but a brand new player with starting equipment may feel like they are forced to overcome Margot with what they have, instead of exploring around and doing so much of the easier and more rewarding content Limgrave has to offer.
