Broken Sword 2 - the Smoking Mirror is a classic Point and Click Adventure. Classic by the Age, but more modern by the functions. So you only have your left click to interact with things, that are interactable. And the right click to examine with these. This also works for your inventory. You can drag and drop items to combine with each other or drag and drop items out of the inventory into the world, so you can interact with your items onto things.

If you get stuck, you can use the hint system in the game, to get first some vague hint, but more and more precise hints the more often you click on it.
I like the system, since you can easily get stuck in such games, since not every solution is so obvious. Also that the hints start vague, so the game is not directly holding your hand the whole time, which still makes it satisfying to solve some puzzles this way.
