Last year I was successful in predicting the growth of real time strategy games and a strong year for PC gaming. The RTS one was a no brainer considering how many large strategy games were being announced to be released in 2013. However guessing that PC sales would be higher than console... that was something else.

This year the big prediction will be a crash in the browser based games market. Viral games used in Facebook will become even less popular, shares in Zynga will continue to fall, studios will close, and larger gaming studios will devest from browser based games.
