Buck Rogers 1 Dos Game is missing pre-generated characters
1First I got my file from
www.myabandonware.com
The file is free however it does not come with the original quick start saved game A which contains 6 pre-generated characters.
I went on Internet Archive
www.archive.org
and located the image of the 1st Dos Floppy Disk.
I used the PowerISO from
www.poweriso.com
and extracted the Image.
However it does not fully strip them off, so I had to excute it with DOS BOX,
from
www.dosbox.com
and executed the files.
There I found the files
SAVGAMA.DAT for the SAVED GAME "A"
and the Date Files for the 6 Pre-Generated Characters
CHRDATA1.SAV (and 2 to 6)
and
CHRDATA1.STF (and 2 to 6)
I copied them to the "SAVE" folder of the 1st downloaded game files.
You could actually duplicate this method as long as you are able to find original FLoppy Images online for all the SSI great games such as Pool of Radiance and Krynn series, etc.
