Buckingham Palace braced for explosive revelations in final Sussexes' Netflix episodes
Buckingham Palace is reportedly bracing itself for potentially explosive revelations in the final three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Netflix docuseries, which will be released on Thursday. The first three episodes of the series, which have been described as a tell-all of Prince Harry and Meghan's departure from the royal family in 2020, were released last week and quickly became the platform's biggest documentary debut. However, while they contained few direct revelations about individual family members, the next three episodes are expected to be more controversial.
Trailers released this week have hinted at what is to come, with Jenny Afia, a lawyer for the Sussexes, saying in one clip, "There was a real war against Meghan." A friend of the couple then claimed that negative stories about Harry and Meghan were leaked to the press in order to distract from other members of the royal family. Meghan also said that she felt "fed to the wolves," while Harry accused the palace of "institutional gaslighting" and of being willing to lie to protect his brother, Prince William, but not his own family.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the series, with a spokesperson last week saying that it would not be commenting on the show as it was released. It remains to be seen whether the final episodes of the series will contain the bombshell revelations that many had been expecting.
