Holy shit this might be my new posterchild for "Most Improved." The first game really got my attention, but this one gets awards. The mission structure is so much better. Level design is more varied and interesting. Companion roster is broader and generally more interesting. As a Mako apologist, the Hammer is SO MUCH BETTER (though dlc for the original version). I must gripe that Jack talks about having been with men and women but is only straight romancable. Boooooo. Garrus was very fun to romance, though. So I can only be so mad.

High points:
~ Morden. He's hogging all the good dialogue and easily has the best arc.
~ Grunt. Weird background. Short story, but very interesting.
~ Jack.
~ Garrus. When we started to romance, he did a bunch of research so we could have safe alien sex. SO CONSIDERATE. And those scars!
~ Thane. Very Boba Fett. Manages to be impossibly cool, without fully feeling like you have the whole picture of him.
~ Legion. |Genuinely one of the coolest and most perspective-shattering reveals I've had in a game.|
~ Miranda. Look, I called her Ashley 2 for the first half of the game. She genuinely finally made me like her in the middle of the final mission.
~ Tali. I don't have as good evidence for my case as I do with Jack, but she should be gay romancable, dammit.
~ Choices from the first game were constantly important and relevant in fascinating ways.
~ "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel."
~ Samara. I'd be a fool not to at least mention the sexy space paladin.

Low points:
~ Dialog still awkard. Just give me a list.
~A bit of weirdness around the way loyalty missions and main story missions interact, which I'm glad I was warned about. Walking too close to your map screen after a specific trigger can ruin your progress with party members.
