Welcome to my review of Burn the Witch Volume 1 by Tite Kubo! This was a fun start to a brand new series from the creator of Bleach. It follows two witches named Ninny Spangcole and Noel Niihashi who protect ordinary humans from dragons. There are a lot of parallels to Bleach in regard to London and Reverse London essentially being the World of the Living and the Soul Society, and dragons being this manga's version of hollows. We were also introduced to secondary characters Balgo, Osushi, Bruno Bangnyfe (Kubo and his whacky names lol), among several others. In the second half of the volume, we get the reveal that their are seven dragons named after classic fairy tales and they end up facing and defeating one named Cinderella. I would imagine the overall plot will revolve around the battling the other powerful dragons. If you are a fan of Tite Kubo, I would defeintely recommend checking this out for the designs alone. I thought that the story and world building was good and look forward to reading volume 2 whenever it releases. Thanks for watching, let me know your thoughts in the comments down below, and have a great day!
