So, last Mugen video where it was more of a special (and first foray into Mugen 1.0), I fought the Lich King Arthas in seven single rounds (a bit redundant now that I look back). Now he's returned and nastier than ever. Unfortunately, now the Lich King himself is now unbearable to fight against.

With the problems with most of his attacks hitting off-the-ground from the previous version, they are multiplied tenfold in the new Insane Boss Mode, which in my point of view, is more like Ragequit mode. This is because his attacks become more enhanced, like Ice-shatter able to get across the opposite side of the screen, can use enhanced plague strike (slashes go across and they are unavoidable), sword combos are faster, and his ghoul summoning is in a pincer formation. Also add this to cooldown time no longer existing and the fact that the AI can chain the enhanced Ice-shatter to take out the rest of your lifebar without EVEN getting a chance to fight back. The second phase of insane boss mode, Arthas uses two melee patterns (an unblockable jump slash attack that sends you flying back, and a blockable dashing slash), Remorseless Winter which summons orbs that leave behind exploding orbs for a while (too long even). Finally, he can summon
a Valkier who has a dash that is unblockable, and if this is used with Remorseless Winter following, you basically have already lost the fight, since even if you don't get knocked off initially by the Valkier, the Remorseless Winter most definately will. So guess what? trying to beat him with a normal character is a hopeless fight. Also, the CLSN placement for the crumbling platform is bad, since characters with finite priority in their melee attacks will fall off the arena for no reason at all.

Right now, the only easy way (if there is even any easy way) to beat his Insane Boss Mode is to abuse Arthas hyper armor coding (where characters using damage dampeners never have them kick in and therefore always do the same amount damage per hit). This means moves that don't do as much damage before do a lot more to Arthas.

Also, something else comes up after Arthas gets vanquished yet again...
