Cad Bane Bad Batch Episode 8 Ending Explained + Vader Cameo Tease And Boba Fett Deleted Scene
Bad Batch Episode 8 “Reunion” has been released and the episode was jam-packed with action, and as such, there’s only one thing to breakdown here: The Surprise Cameo Ending starring Cad bane and what it means for Boba Fett.
So, if you don’t remember, Cad Bane was a bounty hunter who worked prevalently throughout the Clone Wars and its many arcs, he mostly led a gang of bounty hunters at a certain time whether it was escaping prison or infiltrating coruscant. He was originally supposed to die at the hand of Boba Fett in the Clone Wars series. In fact, the deleted scene was much like the duel hunter and Bane had at the end of this episode, with a few moments of readied silence only to build tension to the draw. Bane shoots Hunter and hunter misses, in the deleted scene Boba and Bane trade shots with each other, except Bane hits Boba’s helmet, giving Boba the classic dent on his helmet, while Cad was shot and killed then and there. I’m sure the scene was deleted so Dave Filoni could bring Cad back in bigger and better ways in other Star Wars properties, such as this episode and he does the same with Fennec transcending the mandalorian and the bad batch alike. Speaking of Fennec, we learn that the Kaminoans are for sure the ones hiring the bounty hunters like Bane and Fennec, to collect Omega, no shock there. With Bane being successful, it’s unlikely that we will see more bounty hunters from the Star Wars universe make cameo appearances, but who knows? The Kaminoans know that the Bad Batch are a stubborn group of enhanced soldiers, if they think one bounty hunter will get back to Kamino safe and sound, then they have another thing coming. Meaning, I think the next episode of Bad Batch will see the crew chasing down Cad bane, as per how they track his ship. Well, maybe Hunter threw a chip on the ship, or has a chip on Omega’s gun or something, I don’t know. So, the Kaminoans could have hired Boba Fett as well to escort Bane back to Kamino as well, who knows. All I know is that Cad Bane will likely not make it out of the series alive meaning he needs to be in more gunfights going forward, who else would he fight than the people he was assigned to take Omega from. You’re probably wondering why I think Bane is destined to die and the simple answer is: He is not a working bounty hunter in the original trilogy where we see bounty hunters like Bosk and Boba debut. No way the empire hired Bosk over a proficient bounty hunter like Cad bane, I’m just saying. However, personally, I’m still expecting a Darth Vader cameo. So, it would make sense that Vader could potentially kill Bane at the end of the series. The reasoning behind this is during a clone wars arc, Cad had a lot of politicians, including Padme held at gunpoint and could’ve killed padme at any given moment. At the series’ point where it is, Padme is dead and that wound is still very much fresh in Vader’s story, that pain of Padme dead is still there and he can’t find Kenobi at the moment to take revenge, so who else would he look to to take that revenge he seeks- because he doesn’t blame himself, I’ll tell you that much- he would take revenge on the guy who threatened her life back in clone wars right?
What did YOU think of Cad bane cameoing in this week’s episode and what do YOu think it means for the series’ events moving forward??
