Cadash is a Platformer RPG à la Zelda II that originated in the arcade. Back there it gave you a choice between four characters: The Fighter, the Mage, the Priestess and the Ninja. To my knowledge it was ported only to the TurboGrafx-16 and the Sega Genesis. The latter got rid of two characters and thus left only the Fighter and the Mage.

I am doing this boss run as the Mage, mainly because he's pretty much the game's "Easy" mode. After all, the Mage has the highest HP growth, as well as spells and (only late-game) MP regeneration. His only drawback is his low agility, which makes it rather hard to dodge stuff.

Anyway, let's put those bosses beneath the magnifying glass!

Black Pudding
This boss ENDED me when I was playing this game for the first time. Mainly because I was a) weakened, b) playing as a Fighter, and c) didn't notice the pattern it had. Anyways, the level I recommend for this boss is 3, because that's when the Mage learns "Flying Daggers", a spell necessary to kill this boss quick. But since this starting cave is such a good place to grind for the beginning, I went all the way to Level 6 (Mage learns "Flame Wall").
Anyway, my strategy is to keep spamming Flying Daggers on him. Don't try to use Flame Wall like I did. 75% of the time the boss is sticking to the ceiling anyway. With Flying Daggers you can hit him even then. Plus, it costs less.

Kraken
Here's where Flame Wall gets useful. You want to stay to the right of him and attempt to jump the projectiles he shoots while spamming the hell out of Flame Wall. Flying Daggers starts becoming useful when he loses his first arm, because that's when you can get closer to him so that there is a higher chance of the daggers hitting him.

Worm
As you might have noticed, I've gained a lot of levels for this one. The green spaghetti cave (or whatever) is yet another excellent place to grind. I'd recommend you to get all the way to Level 20 (the maximum level) if you're playing as a Fighter, but for the Mage, Level 16 should suffice. That's when he learns the Lightning spell, which is the best spell in the game. This spell is what you're gonna spam on all the bosses from now on.

From here, there's not a lot to say to the bosses. Just spam Lightning and then keep dodging their attacks. Easy.
But for completion's sake, I'll just list all the bosses anyways.

Fire Elemental
He's a rather easy boss whose only threat are the fire balls he disintegrates into every so often. Just dodge these and attack him once he turns into a humanoid form.

Jelly Giant
Same as Black Pudding, except for the Lightning spell.

Worm
Read above entry about same species.

Balrog (Battle 1)
This battle comes in two phases. In the first, he's in a somewhat human form, attacking you with purple lightning spells. I think he's roughly shooting them at where you stand, so as long as there are none onscreen, keep moving. Counter with blue lightning.
After beheading him with your thundery awesomeness, he'll move over to Round 2 as a dragon. I don't think it's possible to not get hit here, so just slug it out with him - you've got the elixirs to spare, hopefully.

Balrog (Battle 2)
After being called out by Princess Salassa you've got to fight Balrog yet again. Round 1 is the same as the most recent battle with him. But once you dealt enough damage comes the fun part: Balrog loses his wings, but for that he gets another head that spits this black goo like those black dragons in his palace. Now he does huge jumps instead of flapping his wings, so expect him to land on you at least once. Keep the high voltage up and he dies for good.
