Lets play Call of Duty 3 on Xbox One S although this is the Xbox 360 version of the game. All gameplay footage was captured using the Xbox Ones built in capture feature and then upscaled to 1080p in post. So we once again saddle up with the Americans for this next section of the game as we once again battle our way across western Europe on our quest to slap Adolf. We are now taking on the roll of our units sniper which has us kitted out with a scoped Springfield rifle and an M1 Garand as our side arm. I don't know how historically accurate it was for a sniper to be lugging around two full sized rifles in battle but I guess it could have happened at some points if everything lined up just perfectly.. I don't think we have actually had access to any side arms so far which is a shame as this mission would have been the perfect time to justify our character having a Colt 1911 or even a British Webley revolver! But alas, its not to be so we are stuck with two of the same weapons. The actually gameplay location is pretty different to what we have seen so far with big open spaces filled full of trees and long grass and bushes to use as cover. Although it has no stealth mechanics built in at all so as much as you'd love to sneak around from bush to long grass without Jerry seeing you as you take the shot sadly that never happens. Its once again just more run and gun high octane pacing which by this point in the game has become a little stale and predictable.. Almost boring when you get killed and have to keep playing the same bit over and over again. So far this game is one note and nothing more, nothing less and I am simply hoping that the next chapter afterwards will be something different that is more thought provoking and way less action packed. Please don't disappoint me game! One thing I will say though is that 12 year old me would have loved it if I was 12 and it was the newest game released of is type!
