Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 walkthrough part 18- Suffer With Me (Alternate path 1)
2David once again visits Frank at The Vault in order to ask him about what happened in Panama when he was kidnapped as a kid in 1989. Frank tells him that the reason Menendez let them live is because "The dead don't suffer." and that Menendez has been waiting years for revenge because of his sister. David asks him what happened. Woods reveals that they found out that Noriega helped Menendez fake his death. So they were sent with a SEAL strike team to Panama to snatch Noriega while the others create a diversion with the invasion.
Frank and Alex arrive at another SEAL's house. Mark McKnight, who is arguing with his wife about the invasion. They talk about why they aren't just killing Noriega. They then walk out and see some Panamanian kids vandalizing Woods' humvee and chase them off.
Back in the present he talks about Hudson who was providing support over the radio, but something seemed off about him. Frank and Alex land on the shore and fight through the PDF forces to get to Noriega. They fight their way to the hotel where Noriega is and kill his bodyguards before capturing him. Noriega tells them that this isn't the deal and to call their boss, Woods punches him and sits him in the chair, Hudson calls them and tells them that Noriega is a prisoner exchange for "Nexus Target". They suspect something funny is going on since they found the C.I.A. memo in Menendez's compound and when Kravchenko told them about a mole in the C.I.A. Frank explains that it was supposed to be a simple snatch and grab to David and was mad that he didn't know right then and there about what was really going on, David calms him and Frank says he should have killed Hudson in Vietnam.
After they get Noriega they witness some thugs harrassing some civilians before killing the thugs, Noriega requests a weapon, Hudson says to do it and Mason does so, but removes the clip and gives him a hat so noone recognizes him. Woods and Mason then must fight through the streets and protect Noriega. They then lead Noriega through an abandoned building, but hear an injured man and decide to help him, but it's a trap set up by muggers who try to kill them, in the confusion Noriega tries to escape, they fight through the building until they catch up to to Noriega, they witness him kill two SEALS, Woods tells him that he doesn't even breath unless they say it's ok, Noriega tells him to go to hell but Mason kicks him and says they've already been there. Then they escape after almost being caught in a friendly airstrike. They then rendevous with SEALS and then they head to "Nexus target's" location. They head to the building. Noriega kills one of his own men to eliminate any witnesses. Woods then sets up for Nexus Target who is being escorted out, Hudson tells him that Nexus target is Menendez. They order him to kill Menendez. Woods shoots Menendez in the abdomen and legs supposedly killing him. When he and Noriega go to look at the body, Noriega is acting suspiciously. Woods runs over and sees that he had not shot Menendez, but Alex. Noriega calls him a fool, Woods, angered over being tricked into shooting Mason, tries to kill Noriega, but is shot in the legs and crippled by Menendez and knocked out. He comes to and sees Hudson tied to a chair, Hudson had manipulated Woods to kill Mason so he wouldn't kill David. Menendez tells them one more must die, After some hesitation, Hudson volunteers himself. Menendez shoots his knees and slashes his throat with Josefina's pendant, he tells Woods "Your life will be consumed by absolute loss, then and only then will you understand what you have done to me." He then tells David that he will remember everything that happened when he sees the pendant again. Then leaves them with Mason and Hudson's bodies, David mourns over his father as Woods crawls over to comfort him. Woods, guilt ridden over killing his best friend, takes David in and raises him as his own.
Back in the present, David tells Frank that there's nothing he could have done and it wasn't his fault. Frank tells David that his father and him were the best, and they still couldn't stop him. David replies with. "Times have changed old man, he's going down."
