In Darkness

In Darkness is the third mission in the Campaign. It is the eighth mission in Nightmares.
This is the first campaign mission that allows you to have a fully customized loadout. After the intro cut scene, follow the objective marker until another cut scene activates.
When you regain control, you'll come face to face with a number of soldiers and a Warlord. These are much tougher than the usual enemy combatants. Use your micro-missile launcher to take out a group of normal enemies with a series of missiles. Wait until they're clustered together to lock-on to multiple targets at a time. Kill five with a single burst to complete an accolade.
Once the area is cleared, look for a two-floor building to the right of the objective marker. Go into the shop on the ground floor to find a Collectible behind a counter.
Follow Hendricks through the stormy area ahead. When a warning flashes on screen, hold the appropriate button to anchor down to the floor. If you don't anchor down, you'll get pushed back by wind or waves.
Eventually, you will reach a small building with some enemies positioned inside. You will still need to use the anchor at times to prevent getting swept away by the waves. Stay behind cover and eliminate the hostiles from afar.
With the area cleared, investigate the right of the building's entrance. A Collectible is located on the outside.
Carefully go through the building and continue onto the objective. There may be more enemies hiding inside, so stay on guard. Go through to the other end where more enemies are waiting along a bridge and on a ship. Take cover behind boxes and crates and slowly push your way through the lines. Once the area is safe, hack the terminal in the big crate on the ship.
Enter the small room at the front of the ship and get ready for a slow mo breach. Try to headshot three of the soldiers at the other end to complete an accolade. A short cut scene will play after the breach.
When you regain control, swim down the escalators where Hendricks is standing. Hendricks will swim through a small door on the right. Do not follow him. Swim into the blue algae on the left to find a Collectible on the floor.
Before you run out of oxygen, monitor the yellow gauge on the bottom-left side of the screen, quickly swim through one of the broken windows on the right. Follow the objective marker out of the flooded area.
Up ahead is a 54i stronghold. Use the micro-missile launcher to eliminate several enemies with a single burst. With the entrance cleared, carefully make your way inside.
A massive amount of 54i will be waiting inside. Some are positioned on the level above the ground floor. Use grenades to get the enemies behind cover, and make sure the DNI targeting is active to see the enemies through hard surfaces.
When the area is clear, enter the office in the back of the room to find a Collectible. The item is located in a small closet to the left.
Continue deeper into the building. You'll meet a small group of riot shield soldiers. If you can headshot three and kill one with a melee attack, you will complete two accolades. The best way to do these challenges is by using a flashbang or concussion grenade to stun and get around them. Alternatively, you can throw a grenade to blow them all up.
Follow the halls until another cut scene activates. After the cut scene, follow Hendricks until you reach a large, partially destroyed building with many hostiles inside. Before engaging them, ascend the staircase to the right. Jump across the gap back to the previous building and walk into the next room ahead to find a Collectible.
When ready, go forward into the building packed with 54i combatants. There will be robots and soldiers inside, so be on guard when going from room to room. Once all the hostiles are taken care of, interact with the console on the balcony.
After the cut scene, you will have to follow Hendricks down a long path around the area. Use a zip line at the end of the path down to a few demolished houses, you'll have to face another group of 54i. Use the DNI Tactical Mode (RIGHT on D-PAD) to easily identify them through the rubble. Clear them out and move into the building.
While exploring the building, you will come across a blocked door. Hendricks will open it up after a bit of dialogue. Ascend the stairs and look along the left side of the room to find a Collectible.
The final group of hostiles will be set up in front of a sealed door at the top of the stairs. Make sure you're behind cover before you begin firing or they will quickly turn around and shoot. Kill them all and walk towards the door to activate a cut scene that ends the mission.
