Mason hears his interrogators argue about him, Interrogator 2 tell Interrogator 1 that he's tried everything, but interrogator 1 says he has one more card to play, it's revealed that the interrogators are Hudson and Weaver. Hudson tells Weaver to leave and tell them he failed. Weaver leaves in a huff, telling Hudson that if he wants to die with Mason, it's his choice. Hudson yells at Mason asking why he can't remember and that Reznov is dead, and tells Mason that the Russians brainwashed him, he frees Mason who punches him, knocking him out. He then roams through the base looking for Reznov, experiencing hallucinations of numbers and flashbacks along the way, until he comes into a room and is punched to the floor by Hudson who then points his gun at him. He tells Mason that Dragovich brainwashed him to kill President Kennedy, but Reznov reprogrammed him to kill Dragovich, Kravchenko and Steiner. He tells Mason that Reznov was never in Vietnam and he was only a hallucination the entire time and that the real Reznov was killed during the Vorkuta escape and has been dead for 5 years. Mason says he trusted him, Hudson says that that's why it worked, and he had gaps in his memory and went M.I.A a few times, but all the lost time will come back now that the brainwashing is broken. He tells Mason to listen to the numbers one last time to find the numbers station. He does and discovers it is on a ship called Rusulka, the ship he saw in Cuba years prior. They then head out to find it.
