I'm really digging Hardpoint in Call of Duty games lately. It is probably because of the extra layer of strategy involved in having to capture a point and then hold it as long as possible in order to gain a maximum amount of points. Team deathmatches are fun, but sometimes having something more than just eliminating members of the other team is necessary.
