CALL OF DUTY'S NEW ANTI-CHEAT TOOL: SAY GOODBYE TO CHEATERS!
Activision has recently released new anti-cheat tools for the Call of Duty series that can detect third-party hardware devices attached to a player's setup. Such devices give players an unfair advantage by reducing or eliminating weapon recoil, among other things. Following a testing period, the new hardware detection update has been deployed in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, and anyone suspected of cheating by way of third-party hardware on PC or console will see a warning page before more serious action is taken. Additionally, Activision has created a new "Replay" tool to investigate potential bad behavior. These new anti-cheat measures are in addition to other in-game mitigation techniques like Cloaking, Disarm, and Damage Shield. Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 now provide in-game warnings to players who use glitches and exploits or purposefully grief other players. Finally, Microsoft is in the process of buying Activision Blizzard and the Call of Duty series.
