After the Emission, there are several hours until sunrise. However, the Zone is not asleep, and I track several mutants, shooting some and letting others pass. Far to the west, on the other side of the north-west garbage pile, I see 4 or 5 Monolith and I shot them as they are traveling south and not getting any closer. My PDA tells me they are 200 meters away, or about 218 yards. I don't bother to go loot them. Monolith never have money on them and it's not worth the risk for whatever other creatures may be out there.

The night becomes quiet again until all of the sudden there are headlamps to the north-east over the hill in the pocket of the canyon where men and mutants spawn and de-spawn in this level. I am up on the third floor, out of reach of men and mutants reaching me but still vulnerable to being shot at. Soon I am attacked by 5 Dutyers and I use rifle-fired grenades and regular grenades to blast them. They are hard to kill and one of them throws a grenade at me almost killing me. The Mercenary kills one and I get the other four. They are scattered on the ground below me showing how they spread out to attack us, and I go to them to loot them. We did well to survive this attack. Once dawn arrives, I turn off the night vision and realize that it's been a full day in the Zone staying at the Flea Market.
