During an Emission in Garbage, I was with a Clear Sky member in the trailer at the Checkpoint while my 10 Companions were in the cellar beneath the Flea Market. Looking at my Companions listing, I suddenly realized I no longer had my longest serving and favorite Companion. I went back to my video in Rostok and found him there among the 17 Companions before I released 7 of them. Even though I picked the shortest serving Companions to release first, one of those must have joined or merged with a squad with a vacancy and that must have been how I accidently released my longest serving. A lesson to pay attention to in the future.

While I was tempted to go back and prevent this error from happening, I decided to let it be since I didn't want to redo my trip to Garbage and all the activated stashes I had emptied. This actually could be a good thing since I was overly protective of my oldest Companions, and this prevented me from taking more risks and going more places. Now that I had 10 Companions that felt more expendable, it probably was a good thing since I anticipated starting the Underground Lab missions very shortly.
