In the previous video, when in flyover mode in the southern Dark Valley, I spotted a lone Bandit at the top of the hill just to the east of the Lake. As this is near a spawn point ( at the edge of the level by the log stash ) I thought that this was a very dangerous place to be standing around, and that the Bandit would be dead soon, being all alone with a crappy sawn-off shotgun.

In this video, when I got the message there was gunfire in the southern fields, I went again to flyover mode where I was surprised to see the same Bandit still alive. He started going north and I expected the Military inside the Old Warehouse to kill him. Instead, the Bandit kept going and crossed the road going over to the Bus Stop. Leaving flyover mode, I watched the Bandit pick up the PKM that was dropped by the Military soldier I had killed. It was at this point I ran outside the Bandit Base and went out to hire him as a Companion and bring him back to the safety of the Bandit Base.

Considering where I expected him to end up by now ( dead ) I was surprised to find him alive and with this outcome and consider him the luckiest Bandit in the Zone.
