I continue from the Old Farmhouse, northward headed to the Cordon Checkpoint, emptying stashes along the way and grabbing artifacts. At the Cordon Checkpoint, I find more Monolith and the remains of a mutant attack. Going back south, I go up the bluff overlooking the road for more stashes and I come across a fight down on the road between Monolith and Freedom.

The Monolith had killed one Freedom soldier, and had the other wounded and surrendering, when I rescued him. I started to take him with me, but it's too difficult to keep up with Companions from other Factions with their variable enemies. I continued south, finding the Dutyer at the Old Mill gone, I took the excess supplies I had stashes there and was soon back at the Military Outpost.
