Firstly, symbiotes are derived from the Living Abyss, which is essentially a manifestation of Knull's dark will, each embodying fragments of his corruptive force known as the Necro-Power. The Living Abyss is a sentient, cosmic darkness that functions as an antilife entity, capable of destroying gods and transforming lesser beings into “hosts” for itself. Conversely, Xenomorphs stem from a very different kind of dark force: the Black Goo pathogen, a bio-weapon designed to either evolve or exterminate whatever it comes into contact with. This goo imparts the Xenomorphs with their notorious aggressiveness, quick growth, and adaptive capabilities.
