The future of IT modernization may get a lot easier in the near future.

In this lightboard video, IBM Chief Scientist, Ruchir Puri, explores the field of AI for Code, in particular a dataset developed by IBM Research, called CodeNet. It’s made up of around 14 million code samples, comprising some 500 million lines of code from more than 55 different languages.

It includes samples from modern languages like C++, Java, Python, and Go, to legacy ones like Pascal, FORTRAN, and COBOL. This dataset could lead to future AI systems that can help businesses modernize their code and developers automate their work. Check out the dataset here: https://github.com/IBM/Project_CodeNet.
