In today's Resident Evil challenge video, I tried beating Resident Evil 7 with only a knife. I haven't really played this RE game before (only on VR) so I was happy to have the chance to play it again. It felt awesome just running around attacking Jack, Marguerite and Eveline with only a knife. So can you beat RE7 with only a knife? Watch the video to find out!

Resident Evil 7 is such a terrifying game and I'm so glad that Capcom has started to fall back into their original survival horror roots. You play as Ethan Winters in search of your wife Mia who has been missing for 3 years. Little does Ethan know, the Baker family has her, who are under control of Eveline.

Would you curl up into a ball and cry and hope that someone comes and rescues you? OR WOULD YOU BE LIKE ME, KNIFE IN ONE HAND, BALLS IN THE OTHER, AND START GOING ABSOLUTELY INSANE? Oh… oh God, what have I done? MIA… I am so sorry.
Hello friends, my name is Dante and welcome to yet another episode of how to be a mad lad! In today’s episode, Can you beat Resident Evil 7 with only a knife? That’s right Ethan, a pocket knife. Let’s find out!
Jumping into it I have to say, this game is absolutely beautiful. The developers over at Capcom really outdid themselves with this one guys. I mean look at this, amazing scenery that had me questioning whether it was real footage or not, photorealistic forests and sounds, water that looks absolutely astonishing in the evening sun, a creepy man walking through the forest. WAIT WHAT? Uh… guys? I don’t want to do this anymore… I mean I came here to save my wife and everything but I already want to go home and curl up under my safety blanket…
NO, STOP IT. We need to save Mia no matter what. It’s time to MAN up. The beginning is pretty uneventful up until we encounter Mia. Wow, that was easy. Just kidding guys there’s a few things we gotta mention before the gameplay is over.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Dante, this is a knife only challenge and you’ve already used the axe”. Yeah, I know. It’s unfortunate but you don’t get a knife until Mr. Shovelface slips you one through the window later on. An axe is the best I can do right now and all knife only speedrunners do the same thing.
Then Big Daddy introduces me into the world the same way I will to my son when my wife gives birth. I woke up a few hours later and was lost in the house. Big Daddy came across my vision and I was paralyzed with fear. I slowly backed up and hid behind the nearest door. I noticed the bleach was called “HeyBro” and before a knew it, Jack busted through the door behind me and started attacking me with a shovel. I ran away from him, grabbed the key, hit a dead end and tried to reason with him. LOOK MAN... DON’T HURT ME!
And lucky me, I met the deputy. He was nice enough to give me a knife but Ethan wasn’t as happy about it as I was. Oh Ethan, have faith my child! You’d be surprised at what you can get away with with just a knife. Oh there’s some tape huh? KNIFE. Next we come to the garage and oh boy is it ever a fun time.
