I tried beating Minecraft without my HUD and let me tell you, this was tough. The HUD in Minecraft is anything on screen, including your food bar, health bar, inventory, etc. I turned this off in the settings so the only thing I could see on screen at any time was just my hand or whatever I was carrying at the moment. Minecraft is a survival game where you're a little block man trying to make his block way in the square world. You get to use pickaxes, shovels, build nether portals, kill blazes, and dab on haters. This game was created by a guy named Notch or something.

Hello friends, my name is Dante and today, I ate a turkey sandwich for breakfast, prayed to God, and then played some Minecraft for a few hours. Just a normal day in the Ravioli household. “Oh my God guys, look, another person hopping on the Minecraft train!” Yeah, I know guys. Please kill me. So let’s answer the question, can you beat Minecraft without your HUD? The first thing that might come into your head is, “What’s a HUD Dante?”
Are you guys serious? You actually don’t know what a frigging HUD is? OBVIOUSLY it stands for Housing and Urban Development. Wait what? No it actually stands for Heads Up Display. See, it says it right here. Now, unless you’re a low-level gamer, you’ll know that the HUD is whatever you see on screen. So for example in Minecraft, that would be your health bar, food bar, and inventory.
Luckily for me, there’s a setting that allows me to turn off the HUD in game, so I was able to jump right into the challenge without any mods. I named my Minecraft world something really relevant and to the point, chose Survival of course, put it on hard mode because I ain’t no, and set out on my adventure.
And here I was, birthed into the Minecraft world with nothing to my name, but I knew that mining was my game. Immediately there were a whole bunch of problems, like I couldn’t see my health bar, I couldn’t see my hunger bar, and… no… NO… I can’t see my level bar. That’s the most important bar… are you goddamn kidding me? I can’t do this challenge anymore. I already started the challenge wanting to quit, great. Two other things to note is that I can’t see my inventory and I can’t see the little crosshair in the middle of the screen that helps me place blocks. Luckily I can still open the full inventory but still, I knew from the start this challenge would kill my soul.
When I was birthed into the world, the first thing I saw was a cute little pumpkin house. I walked over to check it out, you know, see if it had any owners, when I heard a little grunt. Before I could even see who it was, I was shot with a frigging arrow! Literally 15 seconds in and I’m already getting attacked!
So of course I had to run, run as fast as I could without looking back. That place wasn’t safe for me and I had to get the hell away from there. That being said, I did build my house within eyesight of the little pumpkin house. And also I built my house out of dirt. Don’t judge me.
To feel a little safer, I chose to build my house next to a village, and as night was approaching, I realized that all I had to my name was a little wooden sword and some shitty dirt house that wasn’t even complete yet. There was no way in hell I was staying outside alone. So I barged into some random villager’s house, told him to get the hell out of his bed before I broke both of his legs, and slept in his bed myself. He made a sad villager noise, and left his cozy little home, but that was the last thing I was worried about.
Upon waking up I stole his bed and left his house. Look, I promise I’m not a bully ok? But there’s something about the villagers that just makes them so fun to bully and take advantage of, I don’t know what it is.Now then, let’s talk about the steps I need to take in order to complete this challenge. Step 1: Get two iron buckets. Step 2: Find some lava and a water source. Step 3: Build a nether portal. Step 4: Kill lots of blazes with snowballs to get some blaze rods. Step 5: Kill lots of Endermen to get lots of ender pearls...
