Can You Beat Saints Row With The Pimp Cane?
1The Pimp Cane is a weapon in Saints Row. It's also one of my favourite weapons in this game. Join me as I use my in-depth knowledge on this game to counter the long struggle of acquiring this weapon and actually beating this game using this weapon.
I had to redo some parts of the run as some of the original recorded parts of the run were of a much lower quality than I would've liked (I was working with stream footage recorded from my Xbox One). Thankfully, I don't see any point where this takes anything meaningful away from the video. A lot of strats remained the same since this run was first completed, too.
As with all of my challenge runs, I typically work with whatever kills in-game NPCs as opposed to the destruction of vehicles, props, etc. For instance, if I get a kill with the wrong weapon (even if I kill an NPC with a vehicle), I would have to reload a previous save and restart from there. Any weapon can be used to blow up in-game vehicles as long as any additional kills on NPCs are NOT added to my in-game statistics. Certain missions, such as the final missions for Los Carnales and the Westside Rollerz (as highlighted in the video), have scripted "deaths" of their respective final bosses, though these do not add any additional kills to the player's statistics if the player kills these final bosses alone. Also, a couple of parts exist in this video where I could've been a lot more clear. The Hostage "diversion" is listed as an activity and a diversion depending on which sources you use. The Saints Row wiki, as of this video being made, lists this activity as a diversion on one page and an activity on another. Both new and seasoned players would know what I mean, regardless of how it's worded in this video. Also, the only other activity shown in this video is the Snatch activity. As shown in the run, most in-game statistics are carried between saved games that are on the same Xbox profile (in this case, this was on my Xbox One).
Camping outside the Downtown chop shop with maxed out Police notoriety will allow you to sell each FBI vehicle that arrives at your location for $5,000 each. This is a common method that I use to make money early in the game and also acquire at least one FBI vehicle to use for myself.
