Today I upgraded my GPU and a bunch of other components on my computer while it was still on. In this video you get to see what happens when each part is removed from a powered on system and then replaced. To answer the question what happens when you upgrade your GPU while the computer is on.

Disclaimer: As usual this stuff is stupid, and stupid things results in breaking things. Don't try this at home even if you know what you are doing.
