C&C RED ALERT 2 - Allied Fan Mission, DAY OF THE DESOLATORS
Day Of The Desolators, Allied Mission made by Concolor for C&C Red Alert 2. Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for C&C Red Alert 2, released in the October 2001. It contains 7 missions for both Soviets and the Allies, it's focused around time travelling back in time to stop Yuri's secret plan of dominating the world by activating secretly constructed Psychic Dominator devices during the war. Missions are way harder than these in vanilla Red Alert 2 campaign but are still much easier than those in C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 3.3 or C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 2.0. There was also planned a campaign for Yuri but it was scrapped due to the time constraints.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.

Day Of The Desolators is by far in my personal ranking surely one of the hardest and unfair missions for any player on hard difficulty. The map is, as the name suggests, full of Desolators - both on foot and in the IFV what makes them more troublesome and resilient. And Desolators basically outrange all your basic GIs in the open ground, pretty nice huh? You don't have any access to the scouting in this mission except Dogs which can be taken away instantly by an accident. There are some crates with the money around but no so much and hide must find them + every save/load removes them (old RA2YR bug). The mission also isn't a one where you can acquire a passive stance, it's "secretly" timed because after some time the Soviets will hunt the population. My advice is to reach the Allied outpost as quick as possible and train some GIs to defend yourself - yes, the Soviets will send a lot of paratroopers against you. Do the baby steps and clear the map one tile by one tile with avoiding Desolators, capture the Tech Airport to the north to get the free GIs. Capturing the Communications Center should be as quick as possible, nearby to it there are Oil Derricks (if I knew about them earlier, I would take them). Not so far from the center of the map and this Communications Center are the 3 IFVs, go to them and they should be under your control. Getting at least one Elite IFV in this mission is a mandatory thing, it makes mission much easier and faster without any issues. Remember to prevent Soviets from making too many civilian casualties here, when there are too many, the mission is instantly failed.
