A surprisingly gruesome real-time war game.
You control a platoon of lemmings ready to die for freedom and the 16-bit way. The game is for the most part clearing the screen of enemy buildings and soldiers, but due to the varied terrain there is a lot of strategy involved. Many levels require multiple playthroughs in order to whittle down a concrete strategy, and sometimes you are granted special vehicles to get the job done.

Sega Mega Drive

Aside from the Genesis/Mega Drive, Cannon Fodder is also out for these systems: Amiga, Atari ST, DOS, GBC, Atari Jaguar, and the SNES.

Why listen to me over better soldiers like IGN, Gamespot, Gamespy, Giant Bomb, Destructoid, or GameTrailers? Well, I don't just review games from the eyes of a technical, professional Sgt. Elias. I also review games from the perspective of an actual Forrest Gump.
