Capcom Fighting Evolution on PCSX2 - Arcade Mode with Ingrid/Hauzer
1Today marks my birthday once again, so you know what that means...! Also, it just so happens that this year officially marks the 40th anniversary of Capcom, so yeah, now would be a better time than ever to play a Capcom crossover fighting game...
Granted, I've already touched upon the fact that 'Capcom Fighting Evolution' (AKA 'Capcom Fighting Jam') is a rather messy game in retrospect. That being said, however, the cast of playable characters in this game is quite interesting, to say the least. Along with a whole bunch of characters from different 'Street Fighter' entries, there are also representatives from 'Darkstalkers' (AKA 'Vampire') and even 'Red Earth' (AKA 'Warzard') in addition to a carry-over from the cancelled 'Capcom Fighting All-Stars', Ingrid. Needless to say, matchups in this game can be quite amusing at best. I mean, where else can one witness (among other things) Zangief wrestling with a dinosaur-like monster amidst a bunch of stages that look like they're made out of cardboard?
So yeah, let's see what happens when I try to do an Arcade Mode run with Ingrid and Hauzer on the lowest difficulty plus damage level and game speed set to the highest values respectively. (Spoilers: I placed 1st with a high score of 848100. Not that anyone in particular really cares, of course... Maybe.)
