Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro (Capcom Fighting Collection 2) - Arcade Mode
Even now, I find it hard to believe that some of the most beloved Capcom fighting games from the Dreamcast/Xbox era are finally back courtesy of 'Capcom Fighting Collection 2' (and mind you, all of the games featured in this collection haven't seen a single console port since the Dreamcast/Xbox days up until this point). Therefore, in celebration of this monumental occasion, I've decided to try something different here. Using default game settings aside from nostalgic Capcom/SNK tunes for certain stages (plus default visual/sound settings), I'm going to see how far I can progress through the arcade version of 'Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro' with only one credit.
For those who don't know, 'Capcom vs. SNK Pro' is the definitive version of 'Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000' which (among other things) adds Dan Hibiki and Joe Higashi as playable fighters. Originally released for Sega's NAOMI arcade system board in 2001, this team-based fighting game later saw release for the Dreamcast during the same year (albeit for Japan only) and the original PlayStation in the following year (which was available internationally despite suffering from lengthy load times, downgraded graphics and muffled sounds as a result of hardware limitations).
So yeah, let's see what a team consisting of Ken Masters (who is Ratio 2 in this game by default), Benimaru Nikaido (who is Ratio 1 in this game by default) and Blanka (who is also Ratio 1 in this game by default) is capable of. (By the way, characters in this game are sorted by a Ratio system wherein 1 signifies the weakest but least costly and 4 signifies the strongest but most costly. That being said, there's also the ability to play Pair Mode wherein players can choose two characters with no regard to any Ratio restrictions whatsoever.)
