CaptChang Plays Genesis Alpha One E25: First Illness Ever...
0Welcome to a new series start, CaptChang Plays Genesis Alpha One (Deluxe Edition). If you want to succeed in GAODE, you should watch this, where I will show you EVERY step I made, no camera tricks, no cutting out bad parts. There will be mistakes, running around blindly, tactical oops, WTH are you doing, and more.
In episode 25, we encounter our first EVER illness... Yes, there's illness in this game.
Basically, tractor beam crew who stand around in environments that persistently have spores and whatnot intruding, can fall sick. You need "medical research module", enough virus particles (ejected by the sick crew), just follow behind them to grab them with your hand harvester/vacuum thing, and radiation blue, you can research the disease and help the sick crew heal. However, regular crew will go to their bed to "sleep it off" and they generally will heal themselves on easier difficulties. In fact, I never cured that disease... (I got 9 out of 10 particles needed to research it)
So please ask any questions in the comments, why I do certain things, and so on, and I'll try to answer them for you.
For the purpose of this playthrough, I am using "traveler" difficulty (i.e. easy), with 7 reactors max, so I can build a fairly large ship.
