Capture One Pro - Using Catalogs to Manage Your Photo Archive
Even if you use Capture One 20 sessions on a daily basis, there is still a good use for catalogs, and that is in the creation of photo archives. I use catalogs to create databases of past images so I can easily reference them if needed or search for a specific image. I do not think catalogs make a good solution for the daily management of your photography, but they provide a great way to stay organized. In this tutorial, I cover some tips and tricks on how to keep your catalog organized, offer some suggestions, and also show you plenty of the mistakes I made over the years. Capture One Pro is a great tool for keeping track of your years of images, even if you need to take them offline and still keep them organized.
Here is the drive holder I use for mounting my internal hard drive in an external manner. https://amzn.to/3c0JFVd There is also a two-drive version: https://amzn.to/2RosDZa
Both will hold SATA or even SSD drives.
