Card-Based Grand Strategy Game - Let's Play: Last Day of Rome (No commentary gameplay)
1I really wanted to love this game - I'm a huge fan of grand strategy games like Total War and I like that they changed things up a bit by switching its combat from real-time battles to card-based battles plus the game does feature a ton of factions.
However, unfortunately, the game is just riddled with too many bugs to be playable, including some game-breaking ones. It lacks a ton of features that I'd expect of a basic game (a save game function please?); needs to add in more tool tips and tutorials to guide the player along; needs to add notifications for completed events in the game, such as a completed research; needs to tweak the combat system so that it's more informative and transparent to the player (so we can strategize accordingly), and fixes my biggest pet peeve of all.... typos!
Definitely not the type of early access game that you'd want to buy - if you're interested, wishlist it and see how the development goes.
