I was using cloud VR actually cloud AVR to play the then beta of Elite Dangerous. This cloud VR test , though is from PC to iOS, using the in game sbs 3D settings and streaming with Splashtop. It is interesting to see how the 750p panel of the iPhone 6 handles the game. For starters there is no black bleed ! The res is far lower than the experience you can gleen from QHD phone displays. But the little iPhone has a better implementation of Splashtop and on the same AC 150 meg wifi I tested PC to Android VR using the S5 and S4 gives a consistently smoother game .. On the iPhone 6 you can sometimes , see edges depending on the game or app. But how cool is it to play Elite Dangerous over the cloud on a VR HMD with an iPhone acting as a PC to iOS Cloud VR engine... ? more to follow including game capture and full written discussion @ thegameveda linked here when I finish making it up ..
