Third up in the recent line-up of fresh chillies, we have one of the hottest things that I have ever eaten - The caramel carolina reaper. This pepper is rare and supposed to be exclusive to the Puckerbutt Pepper Company but I know a guy - I won't say who - who got his hands on an accidental leak of the seeds.

Due to the nature of how I obtained this pepper, I can't actually confirm whether or not this is the same chilli that featured on Hot Ones' Chilli Klaus special but I can confirm that it's a reaper and that the original seeds for it came from Smokin' Ed Curry, the current record holder for world's hottest pepper.
