Casio GZ-50M General Midi Sound-Module playing Age Of Empires music
Hello Friends, today we take a look a Windows 95 game, and it is one that you surely know very good: Microsofts Age of Empires. In contrast to that, the Casio GZ-50M Sound Module might be completely unknown to you, as it was for me when I bought it. But the General Midi capability gains my interest as this was the standard in many pc games back the day.
The module is quite small and maybe cheap in comparison to the earlier and bigger modules. There is noch graphical user interface, not many knobs and buttons, no settings to set. Just a litle module that does its work. And I like it for that reason! It is a great alternative for a wavetable module. Its rare, but if it is listed, its usually not very expensive. So what do you think about its sound quality?
